Unravelling

Like Penelope, the wife of Odysseus, Karen unraveled by night, creating webs that can be worn. She called these long, lacy garments created from ordinary t-shirts "Ballgowns". The ballgowns subvert gender and play with the ideas of costumes and uniforms, men's clothes versus women's wear, sportsclothes versus formal wear.
